Emperor Yohannes's Palace
Yohannes IV,English John IV,original name Kassa,(born 1831—died 1889,Metema, Sudan), emperor of Ethiopia(1872–89)Two Italians designed stone palace and built by Ethiopians for the king and now it is the oldest museum in Mekelle city.
Abraha castle was built by Dejat Abraha in 1903. It is now a beautiful hotel.
Lideta Mariam Catholic church
The first catholic church built in Mekelle city. It is situated in 16 kebele.
Meskel is one of Ethiopia's intangible heritages registered in UNESCO. Also the cross found in Mekelle is the tallest cross in Africa. This cross is 52 meters tall and 5 meters wide.
Martyrs monument and museum
The monument pays respects to the over 60,000 fighters who lost their lives duing the war. The monument is 51 meters tall.

It is 5 kms away from Mekelle. Amazing water fall and wonderful place to photo shoot.
